Aston Villa 1 – Bolton 2

Eric Lichaj got the start for Aston Villa and Tim Ream started for Bolton on Tuesday.  Bolton’s three points leaves them a point out of safety, trailing 17th-place Wigan.  However, Bolton has played 34 games to Wigan and the rest of the relegation threatened teams’ 35.  Stephen Warnock opened the scoring for Villa in the 61st minute, with Bolton equalizing from the penalty spot a minute later.  David Ngog scored Bolton’s winner a minute later.

"To get that goal back so quickly, that was massive for us," Bolton’s Chris Eagles said. "And then in our next attack, I was fortunate enough to worm a bit of space inside the area and set up David’s goal. I knew where he was positioned, but it was just a matter of being able to get the ball across to him.
"It was a crazy few minutes of football."

Brad Guzan was on the bench for Villa.  Stuart Holden is currently in Bolton as he continues his recovery.
