USMNT U-23 roster for 2015 Toulon Tournament
USMNT U-23 coach Andreas Herzog announced his 19-player squad that will play in the 2015 Toulon Tournament in France. The USMNT begins group stage play later this week in a group with Costa Rica, France, the Netherlands, and Qatar. The winner of that group will play the winner of the other group containing China, England, Ivory Coast, Mexico, and Morocco. The USMNT opens against France at Stade Leo Lagrange on May 27. They play the Netherlands at Stade Perruc on May 29, Costa Rica at Stade Louis Hon on May 31, and Qatar at Stade de Lattre-de-Tassigny on June 2.
“Toulon is one of the most prestigious tournaments in the world at this age level, and we’re fortunate to have the opportunity to compete against some of the top teams in the world,” Herzog said. “Having seen matches here many times before, I know the type of talent we will face. This is huge for us as we get ready for qualification this October, and is another step in the development of our players in international competition.”
