Terrence Boyd opens the USMNT players in Europe and Mexico results with a goal. Boyd scored his first Bundesliga goal in Darmstadt's 2-1 win over Christian Pulisic's Borussia Dortmund. Boyd opened the scoring at home in the 21st minute. Raphael Guerreiro equalized in the 44th minute. Antonio Colak scored Darmstadt's winner in the 67th minute. Boyd subbed out in the 58th.
In the Scottish Cup, Emerson Hyndman and Rangers beat Greenock Morton 2-1. Rangers trailed from the 7th minute at Ibrox. Kenny Miller equalized in the 13th minute with Martin Waghorn scoring for Rangers in the 61st. Hyndman assisted on the Waghorn goal, hitting the crossbar with an earlier shot. He subbed out in the 80th minute.
Rangers played under interim manager Graeme Murty, the club's U-20 coach. Murty took over from Mark Warburton who left the club on Friday. The matter of Warburton's departure is the latest issue with the club, with the manager denying he resigned following comments from the club.
“It was a challenge, particularly going behind," Murty said. "But I’ve got to say, and I said to the players, I’m going to enjoy it. I’m going to enjoy my experience and for a first managerial experience, at Ibrox, with that crowd and with that challenge. It’s not something I ever anticipated doing, but I quite enjoyed the risks we had to take to try to win the game, and I quite enjoyed watching the players respond to the challenge of going behind and I thought they did that really well."
Timmy Chandler and Eintracht lost 3-0 to Bayer Leverkusen at BayArena. Alfredo Morales and Ingolstadt lost 2-0 at home to Bayern Munich to two stoppage time goals. In another meeting of USMNT players in the Bundesliga, Fabian Johnson's Gladbach shutout Aron Johannsson's Werder Bremen 1-0 at the Weserstadion. Thorgan Hazard scored in the 12th minute. Johannsson subbed on in the 80th minute.
Bobby Wood and Hamburg shutout RB Leipzig 3-0 at Red Bull Arena. Kiriakos Papadopoulos scored in the 18th with Walace doubling the lead in the 24th. Aaron Hunt scored three minutes into stoppage time. John Brooks and Hertha BSC were shutout 2-0 at Schalke.
A league down, Julian Green subbed out in the 58th minute for Stuttgart in their 2-1 home win over Sandhausen. Simon Terodde converted a penalty in first-half stoppage time. Sandhausen equalized in the 61st. Terodde scored again in the 85th. In the third division, David Yelldell started and Joe Gyau subbed on in the 72nd minute for Sonnenhof's 1-1 draw with Hansa Rostock. Playing a man down from the 26th minute and a goal down from the 28th, Lucas Roser equalized for Sonnenhof in the 61st.
Moving to the Eredivisie, Matt Miazga subbed on in the 37th minute for Vitesse Arnhem in a 2-0 home loss to Willem II.
In England's Championship, Tim Ream and Fulham beat Wigan Athletic 3-2 at Craven Cottage. Floyd Ayite opened the scoring for Fulham. Equalizing through an own goal in the 32nd, Wigan took the lead in first-half stoppage time. Dennis Odio equalized for Fulham in the 71st with Neeskens Kebano scoring four minutes into stoppage time.
Eric Lichaj saw red in the 70th minute in Nottingham Forest's 5-1 loss at Norwich City. Trailing 4-0, Ross McCormack scored in the 75th minute. Norwich scored their fifth goal in the 89th minute. Danny Williams and Reading drew 0-0 with Barnsley at the Madejski Stadium. DeAndre Yedlin's Newcastle shutout Wolverhampton 1-0 at the Molineux Stadium. Aleksander Mitrovic scored in the 44th minute.
Liga MX saw Joe Corona and Paul Arriola's Club Tijuana lost 2-1 to Necaxa. Trailing 2-0 from the 86th at Estadio Caliente, Juan Lucero scored five minutes into stoppage time. Arriola subbed out in the 69th.
Leon Yarbrough was in goal for Leon's 2-1 loss to Jonathan Bornstein's Queretaro. Luis Noriega put Queretaro up at home in the 14th minute. Osvaldo Rodriguez equalized in the 36th.
