Once again it’s Thierry Henry picking up Major League Soccer’s Player of the Week award. MLS announced on Monday that Henry had become the first player to win the award in three consecutive weeks. In Week 5, Henry scored twice and had an assist as New York beat Columbus 4-1. Henry did not receive the majority of the votes this time, picking up nine of 19. The other ten were split among four players: Chivas USA’s Ryan Smith (4), Henry’s teammate Kenny Cooper (3), San Jose’s Chris Wondolowski (2), and Kei Kamara (1).
