USA 2 – Belgium 4

The United States started their May/June schedule with a disappointing night against Belgium in Cleveland. Belgium opened the scoring in the 7th minute through Kevin Mirallas. Geoff Cameron equalized for the USA in the 23rd minute, with that score holding into halftime. Belgium took the lead with a Christian Benteke goal in the 56th minute. Kevin De Bruyne made it 3-1 in the 65th with Benteke scoring his second goal in the 72nd minute. . Clint Dempsey converted an 80th minute penalty to pull a goal back. Stuart Holden made his return to the National Team, subbing on in the 81st minute.

The game marked DaMarcus Beasley’s 100th appearance for the senior squad. The United States plays Germany in Washington, DC on Sunday (2:30pm ET – ESPN2).
