2013 Gold Cup: USA 1 – Costa Rica 0

Surprise starting goalkeeper Sean Johnson kept a clean sheet and second-half substitute Brek Shea scored the goal that won Group C for the United States in the 2013 Gold Cup. Shea scored in the 82nd minute for the win at Rentschler Field, setting up a quarterfinal meeting with El Salvador on Sunday in Baltimore (4pm ET – Fox). Group C advanced three teams, with Costa Rica playing Honduras on Sunday at 7pm ET and Cuba’s four-goal win over Belize advancing them as a third-place team facing Panama in Atlanta on Saturday at 3:30pm ET. In the other quarterfinal, Mexico meets Trinidad & Tobago on Saturday in Atlanta at 6:30pm ET. Those games are available on Fox Soccer.
