Soccer TV: Atletico Madrid vs Juventus and Arsenal vs Galatasaray

September 30, 2014 by US Soccer Players

The 2014-15 Champions League group stage continues on the Wednesday soccer TV schedule. ESPN2 has Atletico Madrid vs Juventus and Arsenal vs Galatasaray is on Fox Sports 1. Fox Sports Plus has the MultiMatch 90 whip-around coverage of the Champions League starting at 2:30pm. There are also options from Liga MX.

Atletico Madrid vs Juventus at 2:30pm on ESPN2 in Group A of the Champions League. Things didn’t start smoothly for Atletico Madid, losing 3-2 to Olympiacos in their group A opener. Juventus had an easier time with Mamo, winning 2-0 at home with Carlos Tevez scoring both goals. Atletico Madrid shutout Sevilla 4-0 on Saturday in La Liga. In Serie A, Juventus shutout Atalanta 3-0.

“We cannot fail,” Atletico Madrid defender Juanfran said. “We’ve already had a setback in Champions, to have two will almost eliminate us or make it very hard to get to the next round. The important thing about this team is that the more complicated things get, the better we compete. We know we need to win no matter what. One of Europe’s best teams is coming, therefore the team will be incredible and I’m convinced that we’ll win.”

Arsenal vs Galatasaray at 2:30pm on Fox Sports 1 in Group D of the Champions League. Arsenal are trying to rebound from a 2-0 loss at Borussia Dortmund in their Group D opener. Galatasaray drew 1-1 with Anderlecht on Sep 16. Arsenal finished 1-1 in the North London derby with Spurs on Saturday in the Premier League. Galatasaray beat Sivasspor 2-1 on Friday in Turkey’s Super Lig.

“It’s early but we are maybe more under pressure to win the game than if we had won the first,” Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said. “But it is the same in the Champions League – you want to win your home games. You need one good result away from home and then win all your home games.”

Also on Wednesday’s soccer TV schedule, ESPN Deportes has Zenit vs Monaco at 12pm and Ludogorets vs Real Madrid at 2:45pm in the Champions League.  Fox Sports 2 has Basel vs Liverpool at 2:30pm. Liga MX on Univision Deportes: Club America vs Veracruz at 9pm. Univision Deportes 2 has Jaguares vs Leones Negros at 10pm. On ESPN Deportes: Tijuana vs Cruz Azul at 11pm. All Times Eastern
