Liverpool vs Manchester United at 3pm on Fox Sports 2. One of the biggest rivalries in English soccer moves to the Europa League Round of 16. Liverpool advanced with a 1-0 aggregate win over Augsburg while Manchester United beat Midtjylland 6-3 over two legs. Three points separates 7th-place Liverpool from 6th-place Manchester United in the Premier League, with both looking to the Europa League as a way into next season's Champions League. Of course, that means winning the tournament.
"It is always a big game traditionally and historically," Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal said. "Especially because both sides fight for the Champions League position so it's a big game for both sides."
"We are in good form so we have a lot of confidence and we just need to keep continuing to play like this and the result will come," Liverpool's Dejan Lovren said. "It's an important game because it's a Europa League [match] and we want to go to the final. It's a special game because it's a derby and it's always great to beat Manchester United in whichever competition it will be. It will be a tough game. They have qualities [and] they have individual players who can score whenever they want so we just need to be concentrated.”
