The USMNT players in Europe and Mexico roundup starts with Huddersfield Town exiting the FA Cup in the Fifth Round. Danny Williams got the start in a 2-0 home loss to Manchester United. Huddersfield Town fell behind in the 3rd minute with United doubling the lead in the 55th. Williams was the last USMNT player left in this season's FA Cup.
"Manchester United deserved to win because they scored two goals and we didn’t score," Huddersfield manager David Wagner said. "In the end, as I said it was a very good performance. We played well offensively, defensively the players showed great effort, attitude and desire. Luke Chambers put Ipswich Town up in the 89th minute with Norwich equalizing five minutes into stoppage time.
Moving to the Bundesliga, Aron Johannsson subbed out in the 74th minute for Werder Bremen's 1-0 loss at Freiburg. Nils Petersen converted a penalty in the 24th minute. Bobby Wood subbed on in the 54th minute for Hamburg's 2-1 home loss to Bayer Leverkusen. Trailing by two goals from the 50th minute, Andre Hahn pulled a goal back in the 70th minute. Christian Pulisic subbed on in the 74th minute for Borussia Dortmund's 1-0 shutout at Gladbach. Marco Reus scored the game's only goal in the 32nd minute.
In the 2.Bundesliga, Alfredo Morales and Ingolstadt lost 1-0 at home to St Pauli. Julian Green's Greuther Furth drew 1-1 at Fortuna Dusseldorf. Maxi Wittek put Greuther Furth up in the 10th minute with Fortuna Dusseldorf equalizingin the 76th. A league down, Joe Gyau's Sonnenof drew 0-0 with Carl Zeiss Jena.
In Belgium, Kenny Saief's Anderlecht lost 1-0 at Sint-Truiden. The game's only goal came in the 42nd minute. Mix Diskerud subbed on in the 65th minute for IFK Goteborg's 1-0 home win over Varberg in the Svenska Cupen. Diskerud scored the game's only goal in the 75th.
Moving to Liga MX, William Yarbrough was in goal for Queretaro's 1-1 draw with Leon. Queretaro's Edson Puch converted a penalty in the 44th with Leon's Alvaro Ramos equalizing in the 75th.
