Joe Corona subbed on in the 69th minute for Club America in their 3-2 home win over Toluca, taking their Apertura playoff quarterfinal series 5-4 on aggregate. Roger Martinez scored for Club America in the 3rd minute with Bruno Valdez doubling the lead in the 24th. Toluca went a man down in the 51st with Paul Aguilar scoring for America in the 56th. Toluca staged a late comeback, scoring in the 68th and 87th minutes.
Club America advances to play UNAM Pumas in the semifinals. In the other half of the bracket, Monterrey plays Cruz Azul.
In the Premier League, DeAndre Yedlin's Newcastle United lost 3-0 at home to West Ham. Newcastle fell behind in the 11th minute, giving up goals in the 63rd and stoppage time. A league down, Geoff Cameron subbed off in the 62nd minute for QPR's 3-2 home loss to Eric Lichaj's Hull City. Lichaj subbed out at halftime. Jarrod Bowen put Hull up in the 6th minute with Markus Henriksen doubling the lead in the 22nd. Pawel Wszolek pulled a goal back for QPR in the 24th minute. Bowen scored again for Hull in the 69th to make it 3-1. Luke Freeman scored for QPR two minutes into stoppage time.
Danny Williams subbed on in the 76th minute for Huddersfield Town 2-1 home loss to Brighton. Huddersfield went up in the 1st minute when Mathias Jorgensen scored but were down a man with a red card to Steve Mounie in the 32nd. Brighton scored four minutes into first-half stoppage time and again in the 69th minute.
In the FA Cup Second Round, Lynden Gooch subbed out in the 74th minute in Sunderland's 1-1 draw at Walsall. Aiden McGeady put Sunderland up in the 37th with Walsall equalizing in the 53rd.
Weston McKennie's Schalke subbed on in the 69th minute for Schalke's 1-1 draw at Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga. The clubs traded penalties with Hoffenheim going up in the 59th and Nabil Bentaleb equalizing in the 73rd. Bobby Wood's Hannover 96 lost 2-0 at Hertha BSC. Hertha scored in the 44th and 73rd minutes. John Brooks's Wolfsburg won 2-1 at Eintracht. Admir Mehmedi scored for Wolfsburg in the 31st with Daniel Ginczek making it 2-0 in the 68th. Eintracht scored in the 87th. Brooks saw yellow in the 10th minute.
Terrence Boyd subbed on in the 79th minute for Darmstadt's 3-1 loss at Union Berlin in the 2.Bundesliga. Trailing by two goals from the 42nd, Darmstadt gave up an own-goal in the 65th. Serdar Dursun scored for Darmstadt in the 73rd minute. Julian Green subbed on in the 80th minute for Furth's 4-0 loss at Cologne. Down a goal from the 17th, Furth's Maximilian Bauer saw red in the 51st. Andrew Wooten subbed on in the 53rd minute for Sandhausen's 2-1 home loss to Heidenheim. Philipp Forster put Sandhausen up in the 8th minute. Heidenheim equalized in the 39th and went ahead for good in first-half stoppage time.

Ethan Horvath picked up the shutout in Club Brugge's 3-0 home win over Standard Liege. Stefano Denswil opened the scoring in the 7th minute with Emmanuel Bonaventure doubling the lead in the 17th. Sofyan Amrabat made it 3-0 in the 36th.
Erik Palmer-Brown's NAC Breda lost 5-2 at Groningen. Falling behind in the 6th minute, Mikhail Rosheuvel equalized in the 16th. Mitchell te Vrede put NAC up in the 56th. Groningen responded with a 58th minute equalizer and goals in the 76th, 85th, and 90th minutes. Andrija Novakovich subbed on in the 75th minute for Fortuna Sittard's 3-1 loss at Heerenveen. After giving up a goal in the 43rd and a penalty four minutes later, Fortuna Sittard pulled a goal back through Lazaros Lamprou in the 48th. Heerenveen scored again in the 79th minute.
