The roundup of USMNT players in Europe and Mexico starts in the Bundesliga with another strong performance from Tyler Adams. Julian Green converted a penalty in the 2.Bundesliga and Rubio Rubin scored twice in Mexico.
Adams's RB Leipzig beat VfB Stuttgart 3-1 away. Yussuf Poulsen put Leipzig up in the 6th with Stuttgart equalizing from the penalty spot in the 16th. Marcel Sabitzer put Leipzig up for good in the 68th with Poulsen scoring again in the 74th with Adams assisting. RB Leipzig is 4th in the Bundesliga table, two points behind Gladbach.
"There were quite a few bad periods of play," Poulsen said. "In the second-half, we got better though, and played more attacking football. We were patient, created chances and scored our goals. In the end, we deservedly won."
A league down, Julian Green converted a penalty in Furth's 2-2 road draw with Holstein Kiel. Green scored in the 50th minute with Holstein Kiel equalizing in the 76th. Marco Caligiuri returned the Furth lead in the 84th with Holstein Kiel equalizing again four minutes into stoppage time.
John Brooks's Wolfsburg shutout Mainz 3-0 at home. Maximilian Arnold scored in the 4th minute with Wout Weghorst converting a penalty in the 69th. Robin Knoche scored in the 76th. Koen Casteels made four saves to keep the clean sheet. Weston McKennie's Schalke finished 0-0 at home with Freiburg. Suat Serdar saw red for Schalke in the 42nd minute with Freiburg going a man down two minutes into stoppage time.
Josh Sargent subbed on in the 74th minute for Werder Bremen's 1-1 draw at Hertha BSC. Falling behind in the 25th minute, Claudio Pizarro equalized for Werder six minutes into stoppage time. Bobby Wood subbed on in the 66th minute for Hannover's 3-0 loss at Hoffenheim.
Fabian Johnson's Gladbach drew 1-1 at Eintracht. Danny da Costa cored for Eintracht in stoppage time with Denis Zakaria equalizing in the 82nd minute. Alfredo Morales's Fortuna Disseldorf lost 2-0 on the road at Bayer Leverkusen. Leverkusen scored in the 18th and 66th minutes.
Andrew Wooten subbed out in the 66th minute for Sandhausen's 1-1 draw with Darmstadt in the 2.Bundesliga. Fabian Schleusener put Sandhausen up in the 24th with Darmstadt equalizing from the penalty spot in the 34th minute. Joe Gyau subbed out in the 82 minute for Duisburg's 3-2 home loss to Union Berlin. Trailing from the 11th minute, Havard Nielsen equalized for Duisburg in the 45th. Lukas Frode put Duisburg up in the 56th. Berlin equalized in the 64th and scored their winner in the 89th.
Jonathan Amon subbed on in the 80th minute for Nordsjaelland's 2-1 home win over Hobro in the Superliga. Niklas Jakobsen put Nordsjaelland up in the 42nd with Andreas Olsen doubling the lead in the 83rd. Hobro pulled a goal back four minutes into stoppage time. Andrija Novakovich's Fortuna Sittard lost 6-0 at Heracles in the Eredivisie. Heracles's Adrian Dalmau opened the scoring in the 1st minute, adding three more goals in the second-half. It was also a tough game for Erick Palmer-Brown's NAC Breda, losing 5-0 at Ajax. NAC gave up two own-goals with the final goal of the game credited to Palmer-Brown in the 71st minute.
Ethan Horvath was in goal for Club Brugge's 3-1 home win over Genk in the Belgian Pro League. Clinton Mata put Club brugge up in the 21st with Siebe Schrijvers scoring in the 37th. Genk pulled a goal back in the 77th with Ruud Volmer scoring for Club Brugge a minute later Shaq Moore's Atletico Levante lost 2-0 at Lleida in the Segunda Division B.
With the Fifth Round of the FA Cup taking over the schedule, there wasn't a lot of games for USMNT players in England. Matt Miazga's Reading lost 4-0 at Sheffield United. In League One, Lynden Gooch subbed out in the 76th minute for Sunderland's 2-2 home draw with Accrington Stanley.
Timothy Weah subbed on in the 77th minute for Celtic's 1-0 win at Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier League. Weah saw yellow six minutes into stoppage time. Kilmarnock went a man down in the 75th with Scott Brown scoring Celtic's winner in the 90th minute. Brown saw red a minute later.
Michael Orozco's Lobos BUAP beat Queretaro 3-1 at home. Queretaro took the lead in the 10th minute with Michaell Chirinos equalizing in the 24th. Queretaro went a man down in the 39th. Leonardo Ramos scored in the 53rd with Yago Cesar adding a goal in the 87th.
A league down, Rubio Rubin's Dorados lost 6-3 at Atlante. Rubin scored in the 14th minute with Atlante equalizing from the penalty spot in the 21st and going ahead in the 38th. It was 3-1 Atlante in the 46th with Rubin pulling a goal back in the 48th. Alonso Escoboza equalized for Dorados in the 53rd. Atlante scored in the 60th , 78th, and 85th minutes.
