Biography of USMNT player Kamani Hill who played in Portugal before joining the Colorado Rapids in MLS.

A strong forward, Kamani Hill made the leap from college soccer at UCLA to the Bundesliga after impressing while on trial.  He made his debut for the senior club and the full USMNT in 2007. Hill joined MLS in 2012 as a member of the Colorado Rapids, retiring in 2014.

USMNT Experience

2007

Made his first appearance during the May friendly with China, coming on for the final quarter hour in a 4-1 victory.  Won his second cap in 1-0 loss at Sweden on August 22, coming in for Landon Donovan with 26 minutes left.

Professional Experience

2013

Played in six games for Colorado, starting 2.

2012

Joined the Colorado Rapids where he played in 19 games, starting 3.

2010-11

Played for Portuguese club Aves.

2009-10

Released from Vitoria Guimaraes and trained with the San Jose Earthquakes.

2008-09

Signed with Vitoria Guimaraes in Portugal.

2007-08

Made six appearances for Wolfsburg’s reserve team.

2007

Got his first senior squad game against Hertha Berlin on January 27, making nien first team appearances before the end of the 2006-07 season. Struggled to make first team roster at start of 2007-08 season under new coach Felix Magath, and by end November had made just one start for the team's reserves.

2006

Signed with VfL Wolfsburg for the 06-07 season.

Youth and College

Spent two years at UCLA scoring nine times in 40 games and played for Berkeley High School.
