Gyasi Zardes is a member of the USMNT, emerging from an LA Galaxy squad that featured several USMNT players. Zardes joined the Galaxy as a youth player, moving to Cal State Bakersfield for college before returning to the Galaxy as a professional through the MLS Homegrown Player rule. He made his debut in LA early in the 2013 season and won the MLS Cup in 2014. In 2018, Zardes joined the Columbus Crew where he was part of the 2020 MLS Cup winning squad. He moved to Colorado in April, 2022, joining Austin in December, 2022.
As a USMNT player, Zardes first joined the senior squad for the January 2015 camp, scoring his first goal in a high profile friendly away to the Netherlands. Zardes emerged as a key part of the USMNT under his former club coach Gregg Berhalter.
College: Played for Cal State Bakersfield from 2010-12. Had a strong 2011 season with Cal State Bakersfield, winning his conference Player of the Year award.
