Major League Soccer (MLS) is the top professional soccer league in the United States and Canada. Each MLS team plays its home matches in a dedicated stadium, ranging from soccer-specific venues to multi-purpose arenas. Below is a complete list of MLS stadiums with host teams, seating capacities, locations, and key details for each venue.
What is an MLS soccer-specific stadium?
An MLS soccer-specific stadium is a venue built primarily for soccer matches rather than shared with other sports. These stadiums often feature optimized sightlines, grass surfaces, and capacities suited to the local market.
Why MLS stadiums matter
Stadium infrastructure is a key part of MLS’s growth, improving fan experience, revenue opportunities, and home-field advantage. Dedicated venues help clubs build strong local identities and attract larger crowds.
This page is regularly updated as clubs open new stadiums or announce renovations.

MLS Stadiums FAQs
How many MLS stadiums are there?
There are 31 stadiums hosting MLS teams as of 2026, with most clubs playing in soccer-specific venues designed for fan experience and league growth. NYCFC is the reason for one extra due to using both Yankee Stadium and Citi Field due to sharing their home venues with Major League Baseball.
Which MLS stadium has the largest capacity?
Atlanta’s Mercedes Benz Stadium, but it and other NFL facilities can add capacity when needed.
Are there new MLS stadiums planned?
Yes. Inter Miami’s new stadium Miami Freedom Park opens on April 4. Inter Miami is on the road until opening day at their brand-new home, something that has happened before with new stadiums needing extra time for completion. Toyota Stadium, the home of FC Dallas, is having its main stand rebuilt. NYCFC’s Etihad Park in Queens will open in 2027. The Chicago Fire also has a new stadium in the works.
