Paxten Aaronson signed with the Philadelphia Union academy in 2015, working his way into the senior side over the course of several seasons. Debuting with the Union in Major League Soccer in 2020, Aaronson quickly became a noteable member of the squad. At the end of the 2022 season, Aaronson made his move to Europe, joining Eintracht in the Bundesliga. A few months later, he had earned his first cap with the USMNT in the 2023 January camp. Loaned to Vitesse in the Eredivisie in January, 2024 and then to Utrecht for the 2024-25 season, Aaronson has shown he can contribute with eight goals for Utrecht in his first season with the Dutch club.

Played in seven games for Eintracht, leaving on loan to Vitesse in the Eredivisie on Jan 31. Made 14 appearances for Vitesse, scoring four goals. Vitesse finished 18th and were relegated.
2023
Officially joining Eintracht when the January transfer window opened, he played in seven games. Finished 7th in the Bundesliga and runners-up in the DFB-Pokal.
2022
Split time between Philadelphia Union II in MLS Next Pro, playing in 10 games and scoring five goals, and MLS where he made 23 appearances with the Union's senior squad. The Union won the Eastern Conference and lost the MLS Cup final. Transferred to Eintracht on Nov 17.

Had 14 appearances in his rookie season with Philadelphia, scoring three goals. The Union finished 2nd in the East and exited the playoffs in the semifinal round.
