The USMNT beat Nigeria 2-1 in the final Send-Off Series friendly on Saturday in Jacksonville. The USMNT travel to Brazil on Sunday.

USMNT 2 – Nigeria 1

The USMNT finished off the 2014 World Cup Send-Off Series with another win, beating Nigeria 2-1 in Jacksonville. The USMNT travel to Brazil on Sunday a perfect 3 for 3 in Send-Off Series games. Jozy Altidore was the hero for the USMNT, scoring both goals in the win. Tim Howard made his 100th appearance for the USMNT, congratulated with a pre-game ceremony.

Jozy Altidore opened the scoring in the 32nd minute with Fabian Johnson assisting. It was Altidore again in the 68th minute with Michael Bradley providing the assist. Nigeria pulled a goal back from the penalty spot in the 86th minute.

The USMNT travels to Brazil on Sunday to begin final preparations for the 2014 World Cup. The USMNT opens its 2014 World Cup Group G schedule against Ghana on June 16th (5:30pm ET – ESPN). The Group G schedule continues against Portugal on June 22nd (5:30pm ET – ESPN) and concludes against Germany on June 26th (11am ET – ESPN).
