Switzerland 1 – USMNT 1

The USMNT gave up a late goal, but it was a different story against 12th-ranked Switzerland on Tuesday in Zurich. Brek Shea put the USMNT up from a free kick in the 45th minute. That lead looked solid, but a yellow card to Jozy Altidore in the 68th minute quickly led to a second yellow and a sending off. Defending against a revived Switzerland, the USMNT used the end line as an extra defender giving up several corners. Switzerland finally capitalized when Valentin Stocker scored in the 80th minute. The USMNT held on for the draw, reversing a trend of losing to late goals.

The USMNT returns to action in April 15 taking on Mexico in San Antonio.
