USMNT 1 – Ecuador 0

Darlington Nagbe scored in the 90th minute to give the USMNT a friendly win over Ecuador. Nagbe’s 90th minute goal was the difference in a 1-0 shutout at Toyota Stadium. Bobby Wood setup Nagbe’s goal, heading down an attempted Ecuador clearance in the box. Brad Guzan needed one save for the clean sheet in a game short on goal scoring opportunities. The USMNT took five shots with two on goal to Ecuador’s three shots with one on goal.

As expected in a friendly setting, both coaches used all six substitutions. That included Nagbe, with USMNT coach Jurgen Klinsmann subbing him on in place of Kyle Beckerman at halftime.

The USMNT continues its training in advance of the Copa Centenario. They play Bolivia in Kansas City on Saturday (8pm ET – Fox Sports 1). Their Group A schedule opens on June 3 against Colombia in Santa Clara, California (9:30pm ET – FS1).
