The USMNT advanced to the semifinals of the 2019 Gold Cup with a 1-0 shutout of Curacao at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field on June 30.

The USMNT advanced to the Gold Cup semifinals with a 1-0 shutout of Curacao at Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field. Weston McKennie scored the game’s only goal in the 25th minute, heading in a Christian Pulisic cross. Zack Steffen kept the clean sheet with four saves. The USMNT advances to play Jamaica on July 3 in the semifinals at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium (9:30pm ET – FS1). Jamaica shutout Panama 1-0 in the earlier quarterfinal.

“They gave us a battle,”McKennie said. “They kept the ball and they made it hard for us. It wasn’t one of our best games, but it was about getting the result and moving on.”
