USMNT roster for Honduras friendly
Following the 1-1 draw with Ecuador on Friday, USMNT coach Jurgen Klinsmann altered his roster. Klinsmann made six changes to the squad that will play Honduras at Florida Atlantic University Stadium on Tuesday in Boca Raton (8pm ET – ESPN).
Klinsmann released John Brooks, Landon Donovan, Luis Gil, Omar Gonzalez, Brad Guzan, and Joe Gyau to their clubs. He added Michael Bradley, Matt Besler, Clint Dempsey, Sean Johnson, Jermaine Jones, and Graham Zusi.
The changes allowed for those players to appear for their MLS clubs. Besler and Zusi’s Sporting Kansas City made the playoffs with a win on Friday night. Dempsey’s Seattle Sounders lost to the Vancouver Whitecaps on Friday. Seattle is in a close competition with the LA Galaxy for the Supporters’ Shield.
