USMNT Match Reports

USMNT 1 – New Zealand 1

The USMNT finished off the October international window with a 1-1 draw with New Zealand at RFK Stadium. Julian Green put the USMNT up in the 27th minute with Monty Patterson equalizing in the 72nd. William Yarbrough started for the USMNT in goal, subbing out at halftime for David Bingham.

USMNT coach Jurgen Klinsmann made a total of five substitutions, bringing on Lynden Gooch in the 59th minute for his first appearance with the senior squad. Terrence Boyd made his return for the USMNT after missing over a year due to injury, subbing on in the 88th minute.

World Cup qualifying resumes in November with the start of the Hexagonal. The USMNT plays Mexico in Columbus on Nov 11 and is at Costa Rica on the 15.
