A strong second-half and two goals from defender Aaron Long saw the USMNT advance to the 2019 Gold Cup quarterfinals with a 6-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago.

The USMNT posted a shutout in their second Gold Cup group D game, beating Trinidad and Tobago 6-0 in Cleveland. The USA took a 1-0 lead into the half courtesy of a 41st minute goal from Aaron Long. The goals added up quickly in the second-half with Gyasi Zardes scoring in the 66th and 69th minutes. Christian Pulisic made it 4-0 in the 73rd with Paul Arriola scoring in the 78th. Long finished off the USMNT goals in the 90th minute.

With the win, the USMNT advances to quarterfinals with one group stage games left to play. They face Panama on June 26 in Kansas City.
