The 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup 3rd-place game needed extra time and penalties on Saturday to determine a winner. The two teams finished regulation tied 1-1 at PPL Park in Chester, Pennsylvania. After a scoreless extra time, Panama won the game 3-2 on penalties.
With Panama creating chances throughout the first-half, USMNT defender Tim Ream cleared the ball off of the line in the 37th minute. Klinsmann used his final substitute at the beginning of extra time, bringing on DaMarcus Beasley.
With the 3rd-place game going to penalties, Aron Johannsson and Clint Dempsey converted their attempts.
