The USMNT finished off this run of games with a controlled 4-0 friendly win over Costa Rica at Rio Tinto Stadium and a shutout for Ethan Horvath.

USMNT 4 – Costa Rica 0

The USMNT closed out the Nations League section of the summer schedule with a 4-0 friendly win over Costa Rica at Rio Tinto Stadium on June 9. Costa Rica was the semifinals that the USMNT didn’t play, rounding out the first part of the summer schedule with four games, three wins, and the Nations League trophy. The USMNT will now regroup for next month’s Gold Cup.

Brenden Aaronson opened the scoring in the 7th minute. Daryl Dike doubled the lead in the 42nd with an assist from Mark McKenzie. Reggie Cannon made it 3-0 in the 52nd with Gio Reyna winning and converting a penalty in the 77th minute. Ethan Horvath kept the clean sheet.
