Aidan Morris has rapidly evolved from a homegrown prospect into a key midfield engine for both club and country. After rising through the Columbus Crew academy, Morris made history as the youngest player to start an MLS Cup final, helping the Crew lift the trophy in 2020. After overcoming a major injury and winning a second MLS Cup in 2023, he made the jump to Europe in 2024, joining Middlesbrough in the English Championship. Started the 1-1 draw against Ecuador on Oct 10 and subbed on in the 2-1 win over Australia on Oct 14. Subbed on in the 2-1 win over Paraguay on Nov 15 and started the 5-1 win over Uruguay on Nov 18.

Started in the 0-1 loss to Slovenia on Jan 20. Subbed on in the 2-1 loss to Canada on Sep 7 and started the 1-1 draw against New Zealand on Sep 11. Started in the 2-0 win over Panama on Oct 13 and the 2-0 loss to Mexico on Oct 16.
2023
Started his first game against Serbia, a 2-1 loss on January 26. In the Gold Cup, started the 1-1 draw against Jamaica on Jun 25 and subbed on in the 6-0 win over St Kitts and Nevis on Jun 29.
Professional Experience
2024-25
Morris moved to England on June 28, 2024, joining Championship side Middlesbrough. He adapted instantly to the physical demands of the league, making 35 appearances in his debut season. His consistent performances in the heart of midfield helped 'Boro' secure a 10th place finish. Before his transfer, he played 16 games and scored two goals for the Columbus Crew in the first half of the MLS season.
2023
A dominant season saw Morris establish himself as one of the best midfielders in MLS. He made 30 regular season appearances, scoring four goals and driving the Columbus Crew to a 3rd place finish in the Eastern Conference. In the MLS Cup Playoffs, he was an unstoppable force, helping the Crew march to the final where they defeated LAFC 2-1 to win his second MLS Cup title.
2022
Returning fully from his ACL injury, Morris played in 27 games, re-establishing his place in the starting lineup. Despite his individual return to form, the Columbus Crew struggled to find consistency, finishing 8th in the East and missing the playoffs.
2021
Morris missed the entire 2021 season after suffering a torn ACL in the Concacaf Champions League early in the year. Without his presence, the Crew finished 9th and missed the playoffs.
2020
Morris signed as a Homegrown Player and made his professional debut, playing in 10 games during the pandemic-shortened season. His breakout moment came in the MLS Cup Final, where he stepped into the starting lineup for an ill Darlington Nagbe. Morris delivered a masterclass performance, helping the Crew beat the Seattle Sounders 3-0 to win the MLS Cup. He became the youngest player ever to start in an MLS Cup Final.
Youth and College
A Florida native who moved to Ohio, Morris developed within the Columbus Crew academy. He played one season of college soccer at Indiana University (2019), where he was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year and a Third-Team All-American. He signed a Homegrown Player contract with the Crew in January 2020.
